School Background
Earth Child Montessori School was established in 2001. It is an early learning Montessori program designed for infant and children up to 12 years old. We are a government licensed Montessori daycare center and a member of the American Montessori Society (AMS). In the past 20 years, our school has been expanding continuously. We have over a 100 children ranging from ages 1-12 enrolled in our programs.

Our school provides an environment for children to enrich and support all possible learning and growing opportunities while promoting the vital skills necessary for everyday life. Our philosophy is to provide a safe, inclusive, stimulating, respectful, loving and caring environment for children by nurturing each child's natural growth in all aspects. Both our curriculum and environment has been prepared to foster the needs of the children and inspire them further in all developmental areas.

Education is all about teamwork. We can address children's needs when teachers and parents work together. We believe that home-school cooperation allows our children to build a strong foundation for their growth. The meaningful involvement of parents and school are essential in early childhood education. Ms. Winnie Tsang
Ms. Winnie is our most experienced teacher with 15 years experience in the field. She holds credentials for the American Montessori Society Early Childhood Program. Also, she has BC Certificates for ECE, IT, and Special Needs. She works closely with both children and families to meet each child’s educational need. Winnie has been with our centre for 20 years and speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Ms. Selena Yu
Ms. Selena graduated from Emily Carr University of Art & Design in 2015, and she got her master's degree in education from the University of Honolulu in 2019. She holds her American Montessori Society Childhood Teacher and Early Childhood Educator Education Certificate in both 0-3 and 3-5 years old programs. She speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin. As a teacher, Selena appreciates children's little accomplishments and she believes that each child is creative according to her art background.

Ms. Peggy has been working with children since 2004 and earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education in the Philippines in 2018. In 2024, she earned her BC ECEA certificate and Emergency Child Care First Aid certification. Ms. Peggy is also Montessori trained and is about to pursue her ECE/IT/SNE certification. She previously interned as an Executive Function Coach at a Specialized School for Learning Differences in Vancouver, where she supported students in enhancing their executive function skills. Ms. Peggy is passionate about fostering discovery, instilling a love of learning, and promoting kindness, respect, and self-love.
